Licences
========

1. FreeWare ROOMS
=================

ROOMS [The Software] is protected by International Copyright Law.

The ROOMS Copyright Owner [The Company] licences you to use the FreeWare Edition of The Software without time limit as a decorative enhancement to a single personal computer.

This licence agreement [The FreeWare Agreement] entitles you to run The Software provided that (i) you do not break any democratically obtained National Laws that apply to you, and (ii) you do not infringe any third party Copyright.

In accepting The FreeWare Agreement you indicate that you understand what The Software is for and you indicate that you have sufficient know how to enjoy The Software "As Is".

The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to make backup copies of The Software.

The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to make copies of, modify and distribute any sounds or images which are part of a ROOMS world supplied by The Company. You may not charge a fee for unmodified material and you must not attribute creative authorship to The Company for modified material.

The FreeWare Agreement does not entitle you to create or distribute new ROOMS worlds.

The FreeWare Agreement is cancelled if you reverse engineer The Software.

While The Company believes that The Software is of good quality The Software is published "As Is". The Company is not liable for the consequences of installing or attempting to install The Software.

The Software is intended to provide decorative effect. The Company is not liable if you use The Software for something else or if The Software is incompatible with software from another supplier.

The Company is not liable if you use the software to create desktop features which are injurious to health.

The Company hereby draws your attention to the need for good health practices when working with computers.

In particular:
- Moving or blinking images may cause discomfort,
   stress and even epileptic seizures
- Poor posture may cause discomfort, eye strain,
   stress and repetitive strain injuries
- Slow computer response times (from complex
   desktops or low performance computers) may
   cause stress, discomfort and repetitive strain
   injuries
- Poor lighting may cause discomfort, eye strain,
   stress and repetitive strain injuries

If using the software makes you in any sense unwell, feel dizzy or sick or you have any indication of an adverse reaction you must stop using the software.

The Software MUST NOT BE USED FOR any safety critical tasks and MUST NOT BE USED IN any safety critical environments.

The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to a 14 day free trial of ROOMS Creator functionality, but does not entitle you to distribute any worlds which you create during the trial period.

2. ROOMS World Viewer
=====================

On payment of the ROOMS World Viewer licence fee The Company licences you, in addition to the standard FreeWare licence, to use ROOMS to load and run selected ROOMS worlds which are designated for ROOMS World Viewer use, without time limit and as decorative enhancements to a single personal computer

Payment of the licence fee indicates that you accept The World Viewer Agreement.

The FreeWare Edition of The Software helps you establish if the World Viewer licence is suitable for your requirements before purchase.

Your attention is drawn to the limits on liability and need for good health and safety practices stated in The FreeWare Agreement.

3. ROOMS Creator
================

On payment of the ROOMS Creator licence fee The Company licences you, in addition to the standard FreeWare licence, to create and distribute ROOMS worlds as decorative enhancements which are usable by other ROOMS Creator users. The ROOMS Creator licence is without time limit and for a single personal computer.

Payment of the licence fee indicates that you accept The ROOMS Creator Agreement.

The FreeWare Edition of The Software helps you establish if the ROOMS Creator licence is suitable for your requirements before purchase.

Your attention is drawn to the limits on liability and need for good health and safety practices stated in The FreeWare Agreement.

If you have both a ROOMS World Viewer licence and a ROOMS Creator licence then you are entitled additionally to create and distribute worlds which can be run by ROOMS World Viewer licensees.

4. 1-Above-3D Screensaver
=========================

1-Above-3D [The Screensaver] is protected by International Copyright Law.

1-Above-3D is an add-on for ROOMS. ROOMS licences apply to the 1-Above-3D software.

In addition to ROOMS licencing, and on payment of The Screensaver licence fee you are entitled to run The Screensaver, without time limit as a decorative enhancement to a single personal computer.

Your attention is drawn to the limits on liability and need for good health and safety practices stated in The FreeWare Agreement.

There is a 14 day free trial of The Screensaver to help you establish if The Screensaver licence is suitable for your requirements before purchase.

5. ROOMS PayWare
================

Earlier versions of ROOMS recognised "ROOMS PayWare Licences". The PayWare licence is equivalent to a ROOMS World Viewer licence combined with a ROOMS Creator licence.
